Dutton Phaetons have a long and successful history in motorsport
I will try and dig out some shots of the Duttons that I have seen and followed in motorsport activities but the two I see and hear of mostly are an S1 fitted with a Chevy 351 CI V8 on Nitrous that regularly races in the UK drag racing Chevy powered series owned by a guy called Russ Pursley, Russ is a regular winner and really the man to beat in the series, and a B-Type that goes to my local hillclimb venue Loton Park owned by Tim the car car runs a modified 3.0L V6 'Essex' Ford and goes pretty well.
Breadline racing is the name of a team set up by Simon Dillon when he campaigned a Dutton S3 in local events which he did very well in - I hope to carry on the name of the team with Sean Clarey when we take to the hills in 2004/2005 with our cars.

The only event have not heared of a Dutton being successful in is rallying but I am still looking.
